Image Format Converter

Convert PNG ↔ JPG ↔ WebP & SVG

Convert images between PNG, JPG and WebP, or rasterise an SVG to PNG — instantly in your browser, then download the converted file.

About the image format converter

Different formats suit different jobs: PNG for sharp graphics with transparency, JPG for photographs, WebP for modern, small web images, and SVG for scalable vector art. This converter re-encodes your image into the format you need using the browser’s canvas API — no upload, no server, your file stays on your device.

When converting to JPG, a white background is applied because JPG does not support transparency. SVG files are rasterised to PNG (vector formats cannot be canvas-encoded to other vector formats), giving you a pixel image you can use anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert SVG to JPG?
This tool rasterises SVG to PNG. For JPG, first convert SVG to PNG here, then convert that PNG to JPG.
Why does my transparent PNG get a white background as JPG?
JPG does not support transparency, so a white background is filled in automatically. Use PNG or WebP to keep transparency.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser via the canvas API. Your file never leaves your device.
Which format is smallest?
WebP usually produces the smallest files at similar quality. JPG is also small for photos. PNG is larger but lossless and supports transparency.
