About the pdf merger / splitter

Combining and splitting PDFs usually means installing software or uploading sensitive documents to an online service. This tool does both jobs entirely in your browser using the pdf-lib library, so your PDFs never leave your device.

In merge mode, add two or more PDF files in the order you want them joined, then download a single combined PDF. In split mode, upload one PDF and each page is extracted into its own downloadable PDF file.

How to use the pdf merger / splitter

  1. Pick a mode

    Choose Merge (combine PDFs) or Split (extract pages).

  2. Add your PDFs

    Upload the files — for merge, add at least two in order.

  3. Run & download

    Click the action button, then download the result(s).

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Merging and splitting run entirely in your browser with the pdf-lib library. Your files never leave your device.
Can I reorder files before merging?
Add files in the order you want them joined. To change the order, remove a file with the × button and add it again in the desired position.
Does split produce one file or many?
Split produces one separate PDF per page of the source document, each available as its own download link.
Can it handle encrypted PDFs?
Password-protected PDFs that need a password to open cannot be processed. The tool will report a failure for those files.
